How do you keep a New Year’s Resolutions?

1.) Set a realistic goal for yourself – Many of us will choose “losing weight” as our resolution for the New Year. Be specific, know what you would like to achieve. Setting goals for yourself will make your outcome more accessible.

2.) Only make one resolution – You only get one wish per cake, not candle. Don’t overwhelm yourself with resolutions. Set one primary goal you would like to achieve and stay focused.

3.) Don’t wait for New Year’s Eve – Setting a resolution is a commitment. Making a spontaneous choice will not achieve great success as something you take time to contemplate about.

4.) Baby steps – Slow and steady wins the race. Set milestones, this way you will be able to keep track of your progress as you achieve your goal.

5.) Learn from your mistakes – So you made the same resolution as last year, that’s okay! Do not make the same mistakes, instead let that be your lesson.

6.) It won’t happen overnight – Success takes time. Progress takes time. Don’t rush it!

7.) Don’t mind the small stuff – We all face small hurdles along the way, don’t let them bring you down. Dust yourself off and try again.

8.) Get support – Create a support system around yourself. Let friends and family about your goal and have them help you reach your goal. Teamwork!

9.) Motivation – Keep focus and motivated. Remind yourself about the goal and why you want to reach it.

10.) Always work on your goal – Once you have reached your goal, keep working to maintain it.
